Together, we'll meet your family's unique needs.

Alex, Co-Founder of MindBody Parents and lead behavioral therapist will provide in-person coaching to help your child develop crucial executive function and social skills for academic satisfaction and overall well-being.

Through structured one-on-one support, we’ll help your child manage schoolwork, keep track of assignments, and create effective routines to boost their academic performance. In addition to academic and cognitive support, private coaching extends to teaching essential life skills. This includes practical skills like understanding public transit, budgeting time and money, and navigating daily responsibilities.

Alex also focuses on social skills, helping children and young adults build and maintain friendships, recognize and manage emotions, and develop healthy relationships. Whether it’s improving impulse control, learning life skills, or mastering social dynamics, MindBody Parents coaching empowers children and young adults to build autonomy while experiencing joy, meaning, and connection.

let's talk

Alex will support you in developing effective techniques for managing and guiding your child’s behavior through coaching personalized for you and your family context.

He’ll help you understand the underlying triggers of your child’s behavior and provide you with connection-based strategies to address these issues constructively. You’ll learn positive reinforcement techniques and communication skills to encourage your child’s healthy behaviors and help you establish clear, consistent boundaries and expectations.

In addition, Alex will guide you through emotional regulation strategies to manage both your own and your child’s emotional responses, fostering a more harmonious family environment. We promote practical solutions for problem-solving and conflict resolution to equip you with tools to handle challenging situations and find effective resolutions. You’ll gain confidence and competence, improving your overall parenting experience and strengthening your parent-child relationship.

Your family should be a team. In our ideal world, all family members have a unified vision for the ideal family dynamics and outcomes. Easier said than done, right? We’ll help you pull your support network (including grandparents) onto the same page, with the goal that every member of your family acts in the best interests of your children.

Families with children who have special needs may struggle to equally support all their children because of the time and labor required to advocate for their special needs child. Alex will address the needs of your special needs child’s siblings, providing them with the understanding, support, and validation they deserve. This includes growing constructive communication between you and each child.

Additionally, Alex offers respite care to give you and your family the opportunity to take a break while your child receives compassionate, structured supervision. This holistic approach ensures that both the practical and emotional needs of your family are met, fostering a more balanced and supportive environment for everyone.
